No actual Clown Triggerfish (Balistoides conspicillum) were harmed in the creation of these prints!!!  We speared, printed, then cooked up the more palatable, Pink Tail Triggerfish.  I added in all the coloration and details to turn this gray fish into our beautiful little fish named Hercules. I had intended to use this fish to make another print of our state fish, however after seeing the initial print, I knew it was far to robust and round to be a reef triggerfish.  However, it was the perfect size and shape to be transformed into the radically patterned Clown Trigger! These fish are generally found near reefs in the Indo-Pacific, but are becoming rare due to the aquarium trade.
