This 150 pound Yellow fin Tuna (Ahi) was caught just off the coastline of Lāna`i, fairly close to shore! This was an incredibly rare catch on a sunset charter, caught by a Lāna`i captain and crew. Fish Tails are often kept by fishermen as trophies, so I thought I would not only take the impression of the tail, but also use the finlets of the fish.  The bright yellow fins came from the actual fish and I placed them on the print to finish it off.
